I just love those drivers. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
You used them in a home audio 2-way setup with some XT25's, right? I wish I could get them more on axis in my truck so I can avoid beaming as much as possible and ensure myself a higher crossover point, I just don't see it happening though. Hopefully everything will pan out. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I'll stop clogging up your WTB thread now. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Yep, I've paired them up with many different drivers and XT was one of them. Wideband drivers are incredible to work with when SQ is the goal.
You're going to be very surprised how high those 8's will play off-axis, trust me. If they don't please you, try the Holy Grail of off-axis drivers - get some Jordans. The JX150NG will blow your mind and change the way you think about off-axis behavior. All of the Jordan drivers have a controlled flex to the cone that allow it to behave in a manner that makes the emmisive surface smaller in diameter as you go up in frequency. My 5" Jordans play from 28Hz all the way up with no problem at all. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I think you may be right, lol. I might follow your lead and pick up another pair of those mids.

They will not change. He assured me of that since they are being used in a few projects for some sort of retail sale.

I asked about using them in car doors with 150 watts and was told that was more than enough and they should do well.

I'll stop hijacking your thread now bud. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
