I need a pair of 3 way crossovers. 4ohm I have a comp set thats mids and highs that dont really have bass to them so im adding a pair of 8" midbass to the mix but need a crossover to do all 3 now so they stay at 4ohms for my amp.

speakers incase someone wants to know 2 of each for my rears.

Next ALS16 6.5" mids

Next ALS16 3/4" tweets

Next CL-8 8" woofer

amp will be pushing about 90watts @4ohm to the set.

it would be in your best interest to find something like this;

its an active 5-way crossover. they make 3 way ones, but not many. **you would need two bandpass circuits for the midrange and midbass and one lowpass for your tweets**. you might be able to get away with a highpass, bandpass, and lowpass, and use a crossover built into an amplifier for a lowpass on the 8" mids.

then use the built in highpass in your subamp for your subs (or if your headunit has one that would be even better)

passive would be extremly hard because in-car response is nothing like you would get from a modeling program.

you can possibly stick with the next passives, and add a highpass to the next mid at the amplifier if you can get one that goes low enough. but thats doubtful because they generally dont make low highpass filters for a component amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

regardless, active is the way to go if you can. but there are several ways to utilize the equipment you have to piece together your system //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

with that one how does it work in terms of input and output?

I have 2 amps. Next VRz 4.400 4 channel and a Planet audio P2250D. Im using the PA for the Sonic FX and using the 4 channel for fronts and rears. So i have 6 RCA 2 for fronts, 2 for rears, and 2 for subs. which means I have 2 RCAs for midbass, mids and highs. My amp does 4ohms only and my comps and the mids im getting from you are both 4 ohms so i basicly needs 1x8 1x6.5 and 1 x tweeter to run off 1 rca plug x 2. How can I acomplish this off my 4 RCA out 4 channel amp and 2 sets of comps and 1 set of midbass? Im just looking to get the most out of my amps without blowing them by running the wrong impendance //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

What kind of deck do you have? I am running 2 amps for my 3way. One amp for my 6s and tweets passive crossed over and the other for the 8s. Using the rear channels off the deck high passed at 80hz to the amp and using the LP crossover at 250hz so the midbass gets from 80 to 250. If I was you I would use the 4 channel for the comps and run the rears off deck power. 3 way passives usually will cost a bit being they mostly only came with highend speakers. only other 3 way is active and that will need 6 channels of amplification.

P770MP and im trying to not buy any more amps as my 2200 watt sub amp draws enough power. Does the preamp work when the RCAs are in use? I never tried it.
