So...
A couple of years ago I ditched my Pioneer headunit, even though Pioneer's are my absolute favorite, for a Kenwood double din. I did this because the Pioneer navigation *****, and Kenwood had the option for a real Garmin navigation setup.
Well, I bought a DDX-7015 with Nav and Sirius add-on's, which I liked, but after a couple of months the cd player stopped reading and ejecting discs. About a month after that, the screen screwed up and would not read finger touches properly. I tried to get it warrantied, but Kenwood could give a rat's *** about me or my issues. I decided to puch the **** screen in on it. It made me feel a lot better.
I went and bought a DDX-6019 to replace it. It worked great for a few months, then bam... the cd mechanism did the SAME EXACT thing as the other unit. Screw it... I'll just use an Ipod or Sirius to listen. This one worked fine otherwise for the last two years until it started turning off and on the other day. I took it out of the dash to see what was up and sat it on my lap. I guess the weight of the unit was too much, and POP, the screen cracked. So here I am in the same boat as before, no CD, no touch screen. I now have to listen to ONE Sirius station or an Ipod, since I have no remote.
I punched this screen to bits as well... POS!
So anyway, I need another Kenwood double din! It needs to either work with their standard auxilary adapters for Sirius and Garmin navigation, or have it built in already.
I would MUCH rather trade my services or product than to buy one with cash, but if the price is right, I can.
I would preferably like to have a newer unit, but anything from the 6019, 7015, era will work for me.
Please post here, or PM me with anything that you may have.
I DO NOT want anything other than a compatible Kenwood unit.
