I need a new MTX 404. I think mine finally died :/

I would consider any of the following: 404, 564, 684, 1004. Also any of the amps found in THIS article. (MTX Thunder Series, circa 2004)

I'd take that xtant over the 404/4244 any day of the week. While the Mtx's are rated at 12v, he xtant's guts look a lot better and i'll assume it too is underrated.

I say pick up the 4244 unless it would bother you that much. Just think, you could get the 404m and the 4244 for less than the 404m's worth.

I say pick up the 4244 unless it would bother you that much. Just think, you could get the 404m and the 4244 for less than the 404m's worth.

Well now that I am getting the xtant my amp money is tied up. I'm also ordering a new brain for my HU, and buying a new phone. If that 4244 is still there after I recover from today's purchases I will grab it and re-badge it. It's more convenient to get this amp and in the car at this point. There's a fairly local guy with a lot of old school audio that is supposed to be sending me a list too.

Fbi raided my house on Friday while my garage was on fire, just so happens that my dog was choking att as well. Vet bill, fire damage restoration and bail set me back. It was a bad day.
