and don't get anything higher than 6k in terms of color.

yeah I have 6k and they are plenty blue. my friend has had 12k and 8k and got pulled over twice for having his headlights blue.

FWIW, anything over 5K actually _reduces_ the amount of visible light (assuming the goal is to improve lighting, and not make your light a certain color...).

There's a reason OEM specs are generally 4.5K-4.8K.
