wtb home theater powered subwoofer

i got a Palermo VA 6.1 home theater system here laying around for months. i got alot of pictures that i took, and will post it if you are really interested. The MSRP on the box it says $2499.00 but since it's just laying around here, ill sell it to you for a cheap price. just send me a reasonble offer.

What are you exactly looking for? Are you looking for a complete system HTIB or just a sub or what exactly?

well im new the ht but all im gunna need to purchase is a center chanel and a powered sub if my deal goes through on a 6.1 surround reciever...it already has the front and surround speakers but has no center or sub...

i dont know. i just want it out of my room. it's used as a shelf right now, and have no use for a HTS in my room. Make a reasonable offer and it's yours.

i'll let ya no....i have a feeling shipping alone would not be cost effective coming from the west coast. we'll see, thanks

Well generally it is all based on how much money you want to spend. If you want DIY or not.

I have a MartinLogan Dynamo, and love it. It outputs really clean lows, it's not ultra high output but then again my system is ballanced. A lot of other people like the Velodyne subs, which I have heard have a bit more output than the MartinLogan but don't have exactly the same SQ to them, but still sound ultra good.

Even though I love my MartinLogan one of the best and cheapest ways to go, to get good SQ and incredible SL with out sounding like shit, would to get a Sound Splinter RL-p 15. Build a simple sealed box, get a powerful plate amp then you will be set. And you will have a seriously kick *** sub system.

TO give advice about the center channel I need to know what kind of other speakers they are? If they are good, decent, and how much you are looking to spend...

My HT/Music sub is comprised of a TangBand 8" Sub, 100W plate amp and about $25 worth of MDF...cost about $175 Alltogether and sounds very nice just for an 8...might want to look into something along the same lines. Maybe a Dayton 10" or 12" woofer with about 200-300W RMS and you sound be reasonably impressed.

this is what i hope to get....it allready has the front and surround speakers so all i'd need is a sub and center....im not really picky at all though...i just scored a dlp projector for a undisclosed amount ( dam near free with only 800 hrs on a 2000 hr light) //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif ...

if anything i was gunna scrap the 4 speakers and buy a speaker set (5.1)

if i do that i'll prob spend 120ish on the speakers...if i use the ones that come with it i'll prob want to spend 90ish (used / ebay)

i now its not alot of money but this will be a decent starter system...i just hope it doesnt grow on me like car audio....i have a feeling it could

If Adire hadn't stopped making the Rava, Daeva and Sadhara, we'd have more options in the budget pre-built sub category...I absolutely love my Rava.

If you're looking for that same kind of quality, Hsu Research makes some interesting offerings...but then again, I like spending a little more at first knowing it's something I may keep for a good long while.
