I have been out of car audio for a few years and looking to get up to speed. This sub will be in a 2000 GMC ext cab under the rear seat and will complete my budget buildup. I am currently looking for an 8" sub and will build a small sealed box for it with 150 watts of power. I am looking for a sub that will sound good but not overtake the system. I'm open to ideas or suggestions and interested in a quality used sub around $50 more or less. What do you think?

Here are some ideas I have been kicking around and have considered. I listed in order of my current preference.

JBL GTO804 (very efficient in a small box)

Infinity Reference

RF P2

Kicker CVR

- Current setup

Clarion DB285USB

6.5 comps up front Sony GTX1620S (not a lot of sony love, but I like em and got a good price)

4x6 plates in rear Pioneer TS-P462 (on the way thanks to Ridinhi)

Old school Cadence Q-400 amp (50 to the comps & 150 bridged to sub ???)

kicker l7 8. i can make that bish do a 140 alone lol
edit:

oops didnt know this was a wtb thread sorry
I don't doubt a kicker L7 8 would thump. I just don't think I have enough power for it in my setup. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I don't know much about the massive pw8 and need to do a little research. Have you used it in a small sealed box? How does it compare to the other subs?
ive only ran it ported.

not sure how it compares to others.

but ive ran an e8 in the same box, this got louder.

I need it to run off a bridged 4ohms mono. So a dvc 4 won't work for me. I need a regular 4ohm sub. I just want one 8" at this time.

Maybe the pro tech xo-8 is the best choice.

i got some concept 8's 4 ophm single. couldnt tell if you wanted a signle 4 or dvc 4.... ill do 50 on it shipped

What are the specs on the concept 8? Does it work well in a small sealed box?
