does it have to be a CD player or will a cassette work ?

What year? the kind that just clips in?

The s10 is a 2000 I think. Not the one that clips in like the 2000-2005 full size trucks and SUV's. I need the one with the metal tabs on the side, not the plastic clips, I think, but I am pretty sure.
