I'm new to the forum and have been tinkering with my relatively cheap but foolishly complicated car stereo setup for quite a while. It has been a blast but as everyone knows, it's never done...

I'm looking to make the jump to component speakers after playing around with coaxials for quite sometime now. I need a set of reasonably priced 4" comps. I have RFP 5.25's for stereo midbass (125-400 Hz) and a JL 8" for mono midbass (70-125 Hz), so I need a midrange speaker only in the comp set - preferably a 3.5 or 4" with tweeters and outboard crossovers.

Thank you

Bump...

Small component sets are hard to find, and I do especially appreciate old school 'stuff'. If you've got anything in working condition I'd like to hear about it.

Bump for some Boston Acoustics goodies. I have a set of Audax 4" aerogels and a set of their tweeters (purchased from Madisound), but never built any crossovers for them.
