WTB: EBC knob for old MTX amps

I'm looking for an old school bass knob for the Thunder amps from a few years back. Known as External Bass Control. If anyone knows where I can buy this, I would appreciate it.

Hey dkmesa,

I need the same bass control. Did you ever find one? Or does anyone know where to get one. I have an Infinity control I was thinking of modifying to work with my MTX 250D. Anyone ever done that?

hey man. theres a shop by my house that i used to work at that has them up to the ceiling. youre talking about the ones that go on the amps like the 2300, 2300x and 2150x right?

I think those would be the right ones. I need the "phone jack" style plug on the bass control. The newer ones have a different type of plug on the end. What is the number of that shop? Thanks for the reply.

I bought one of these off a guy on eBay:

Im using it on an Thunder 500D and it works great. Decent quality but not MTX OEM.

If you've got some electronics skills you can rig one up yourself.

I contacted MTX asking for protocol information... unfortunately they provided me with SPANISH HOW-TO from another website... i almost peed my pants when I saw the reply...

Anyway - the knob is just a 20k potentiometer. I can post the how-to up here if anyone is interested. I'd have to go dig it up somewhere.
