parts express has the tangband w8-740p for $50 plus shipping i am running one in my impala and it is really impressive for a small sub. 150wrms 12mm xmax i cand wait to get it metered i figure low 130's on music more than enough for most people.

your loss they are great for the money. parts exspress also has the dayton hf 8 for $97 280wrms but thats probably not name brand enough either.

I was just checking these out today. Im between these, a pair of RE SE 8" (Old school RE with the weird logo), and a pair of MB Quart Reference RWE202 made by RF.

Which is shallower?

The sundown e8 is 4.75" mounting depth and the dd 1008a is just over 5.2" mounting depth.
