some games were ripped and did not include music but that was the larger games, a lot copied the whole game. The copies were just as good as the originals.

its not a rumor. This is the reason why the dreamcast "failed". People were able to burn copies of the original game or even download the game off the internet and burn it on a CD and be able to play it without using a modchip.

to the thread starter:

you can go to any torrent site and search for "dreamcast" and find games to burn. The only downside is that barely any people seeds these torrents since dreamcast is so old and will take awhile.

I found a number of them at torrentspy.com what are some other websites?????
