WTB- Cheap, but powerful woofer amps. Legacy?

remember, you buy what you get. You buy a cheap amp, be prepared to replace it very quickly as cheap amps are built cheap, so they ain't gonna stick around very long. Magic smoke! I smell it now. Spend some real money and get something dependable

What's the general consensus for a good amp which will give 1200+rms @ 2ohms?

Or anything with more power output than that?

I'm not going to give it all away, but think something along the lines of burping power and rail gun.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif
I'm sensing this is not for audio, you just want the electrical amplification abilities?

Do you expect the amp to survive the experiment or is this a one "shot" deal?

Unless you need a 12 v DC source, you may get more "bang" for you buck from a 120v AC type amp.

Berringer and sampson for cheap throw away amps.

Crown, QSC or Crest for long life rugged amps. Crown and Phillips amps are used to power MRI (magnetic resonance imaging scanner) medical scanners for thier high output and long life.

May be a similar application to your "rail gun". They use the 10,000 watt models.
