Anyone have or know where a broke college student could get a amp cheap. I have 2 400 rms each subs in a ported box that I just built for them not long ago at all. My amps outputs are shot and I miss my subs haha. Music isn't the same without true bass. With all that said does anyone have any old amps laying around collecting dust I could buy really cheap bc books for school has taken almost all my emergency money. I could push only 1 sub if necessary.

I also have a dell gx150 computer that I could trade for one. Not really sure about the specs on the computer all I know is that I wiped the HD and installed a fresh windows xp and office 2007 could be loaded on it.

BA1300

BA Series 300 watt Monoblock Amplifier

MSRP: $199.95

The BA1300 is a 300 watt Monoblock amplifier, making it the perfect amplifier for medium sized bass rigs. Long term Bazooka fanatics will recognize this as a direct descendant of the LEGENDARY EL1500-- the amp that started it all! If you're driving a couple of 10's or 12's, this bad boy will get the job done, and leave you with enough cash left over to buy a couple of CD's to try it out with!

With a built in crossover that's adjustable to remove the frequencies you don't want your subs playing, installation is a snap, too. 2 ohms is where this amp really shines, so for single woofer systems, look for something dual 4 ohm. Multiple woofer systems are no problem, either, just get yourself to 2 ohms, no matter how you have to do it. From there, you're ready to rock, the 1300 has everything you need to be pounding out great tunes in no time..

The “Bazooka” branded amplifier products feature sharp cosmetics, tons of innovative features, and a dollar to watt ratio second to none. With their chrome and aluminum cosmetic and blue illuminated badging, these amps will look as good as they perform.

When the Bazooka badge lights up, this thing's ready to rock! You'll have at-a-glance confirmation that the amp is powered up and ready to roar

As with all BA amplifiers, the chrome end caps keep all the wiring safe from incidental damage, and look great doing it. The unique design also allows plenty of room for the amplifiers heat sinks to do their job--keeping the amplifier cool even while power output is at maximum.

i know thats a awesome deal but I definately dont have the money to buy a new sub as well as another amp. It was a long shot to get 400 watts for $40 and I know that it was a long shot but I was just hoping someone had a beat up old one lying around that still worked and put out 400w to get rid of.

It's perfect cosmetically so it would look nice. Not to mention it doesn't look that bad on the inside. Judging from the components and everything it looks like it could do it's RMS rating. I mean I don't care if you get it or not but thats the lowest I'll go on it.

Also you don't blow subs from underpowering them. You blow them because you try to push the amp too hard and clip them to death or you over power them.
