WTB: CHEAP 1000rms amp stable to .5ohm for burps

I am looking for a 1000rms amp that will do .5 ohm for burps. I would need the 1000rms to be at 1 ohm load.

Reason I need this exactly is for entering ( Street Stock A ) division that only allows an amp rated at 1000 rms. I am looking for somthing cheap, doesnt matter if its beat up or physical condition isnt amazing. As long as it works perfect & is rated at 1000rms ACTUAL POWER! & do .5ohm burps it will be fine with me.

I should also mention, no competition grade gear.

The class calls for equipment only available at most stereo stores etc.

well, after impedance rise you'd be looking at a 1ohm burping load anyway... & your 1000wrms would be closer to 2ohm.

so IMO, don't trouble yourself looking for an amp capable of a .5ohm load unless your actually gonna be wiring your subs way below .5ohm to start with...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Nothing available in big retail stores I've ever seen boasts .5ohm load capability..Be pressed to find 1ohm stable stuff in shops around here anymore..

The sub I am working with is a dual 2 ohm 12" kicker L5. Right now im doing 141.6 constant on a premier prs-2200t @ 4 ohms. Rated at only 600rms into a 4 ohm load.

The pioneer I am running is not stable to even 2 ohms bridged but I tried it & it does take it but kicks out here & there. 1 ohm load not a chance.

I need an amp that can do 1ohm load for that woofer but also might run a pair of these 12s because I have an extra but would have to be a .5ohm load then.

All depends what I can find for an amp I guess. All I know is the only other amp I have here is 3000rms & I need somthing better then the premier to make some more DBs.

Still looking. Some mods to my box today & doing constant 142.5s on 600rms @ 4 ohms.

I threw a 1ohm load at the pioneer amp & getting 144.5-145s on the single 12" L5.

I need some more power quick! Some one has got to have somthing that will work for me?

Already picked myself up an amp. I found a great deal on an older US amps that is rated 1000rms @ 1 ohm.

Was 150 shipped so I had to pick it up but thanks for the info anyway.

Try and find a older Opti 100c or a US Amps VLX 1000. These were both 1000rms amps @ 1.0 ohms and can do .5 ohms.
