I got some hand built DD 6.5LT subs...these suckers are bad...How many 6.5's can you throw 1000watts too.....nothing comes close that I've ever heard...but they are a long ways from cheap...http://www.ddaudio.com

parts express should have some experimental subs for cheap...on DD's your looking at about $125 each...but these are each hand built...individually tested and serial numbered...Retail on the DD's is around $160 each...
