y spend the extra 150 for the x100 when the x200 is the same thing just not full color screen which i hear goes bad. if u change ur mind i have an x200 for sale brand new

I heard the x200 just loads up files on an external HD reaalll slow, not sure if its true but I cant wait like 5-10 minutes every-time i start my car to listen to music

naw u can start listening as soon as it cuts on, itll load as it plays but u will be bale to listen to your files as soon as it turns on.

flash drives will almost always work, its the external hard drives that HU's have issues powering and indexing

Alpine told me that as long as there is a limit to how many files the usb can read thats why people have problems with the large drives because they have to many files on them. I wanna say the limit was something like 10,000

Also I believe the drives must be formatted in FAT32 only which limits the size it can be.

nope.. i got my 250 gig formatted to FAT32..

I went to best buy today with my HD and tried a few HU's, so far only the Double DIN pioneer (not sure which one) worked perfectly without any indexing time, and some kenwood worked within like 30 seconds, but either ways I need a single DIN and the kenwood everything else other than the fact that it read the HD was shitty, so I didnt bother with it.

I wanted to try the Alpine 9886 but the dumbass kid working there didnt think they had ipod cables.

... but anyways, anybody got an ida x100 or x001 for sale?!?!
