Found this guy selling some US Amps. PM'd him and got this response:

"No you are not cynical, you are a consumer and you have questions. My cousin was going to distribute for US Amps in NY but the deal fell apart but he but a ton of merchandise and no way to sell it and he's real busy so I bought it all and now I'm selling it and it has no warranty but look at the ratings on my account. I had only but good dealings. Everything is new as he received from the factory."

Also messaged a person who bought one of his amps and got this response:

I'd do mine for $160 shipped barely used. My xtant a4004 comes out of the shop tomorrow.

it's one of the 800.4's For some reason, hooking it up has cut out my alt whine too!
