wtb 800 watts at 2 ohms for RE-SE 12

Hello,

I am looking for an amp for my SE 12". I am going to use RE's plans for the box( 2.5 cubes @ 30hz ). So I was thinking somewhere between 600-800w @ 2ohms? Does that sound about right? Also,which amps do you recommend? Currently I have the SoundStream EGA2300. Do you think that that is enough? If not, I found an Orion 8002. Do you think that that would be enough? Any ideas are highly appreciated.

I don't really have a set budget at this point. I was just seeing what is available. I have money, but I am a college student so I don't have money coming out of my ears either. However, more importantly, I want to make sure that I don't get some Profile amp. No point in having an SE with a lousy amp powering her. I would like to stay around $200, but that isn't in stone by any means.

I have a 1200D and 8004 for sale.

You can get 400x2@ 4 ohms on the 8004 and 725@1 ohm on the 1200D

175+shipping on the 8004. 250+shipping on the 1200D.

that 1200d sounds just about perfect for what I am doing, but, unless absolutely necessary, I'd rather not spend that much.

buy the 1200d, offer him 200 shipped, the 800.2 bridges to 4 ohms, so that wont work for you
