WTB 6x9 components

Budget?
Eclipse SC6900's.
Own em....don't like em. Granted they are ok for budget speakers, the tweets **** and the woofers are mediocre. The x-overs are the worst part, I had to resolder the entire board on both my xovers. If you don't want to do that don't mount them anywhere that vibrates even a little.

Ill chalk this up as installer error/build problems. The tweeters are almost identical to LPG 25NFA's which are the same ones that are used in Blues Car Audio comp sets that they win SQ competitions with.

As for the mids thats installer error. There is plenty of midbass to be had with the Eclipse SC series.

The crossover was a build issue, but I can say Ive never experienced that and mine are mounted in my doors.

Please enlighten me on how these were an install error?

Whatever I wasn't impressed in the least, but of coarse I'm more of an spl guy. I ran the eclipse sc6900s in the rear deck, woofers in separate .5cu ft sealed boxes, the tweets mounted on the rear deck as well away from the window. The xovers I had mounted to the door panels with 60mil matt on the backs of them screwed down tight and the little vibration those things got from only 2 type Rs on 700watts a piece was enough to mess those xovers up in the first 2 weeks of use. ALL 4 inducers wriggled free of the hardly any epoxy that held them to the boards, shortly after they simply broke off. I had to resolder the connections and epoxy them myself. Those are cheap crap xovers not air core inductors or nothing. My clarion srp4620 tweets up front sound far superior to the eclipse tweets. I listen to my music loud and those woofers couldn't handle the listening volume I use without being crossed at 120hz or higher, anything less and they are distorting. I actually had to get separate midbass drivers because those comps couldn't keep up so I have them set at 160hz now.
