Because, the 12 volt version is stronger below 16 volts than the 16 volt version. Either way both are good, but you would get more out of the 12 volt version if you are running 12 volts. And both are sold at the same price.

Don't worry if it's a 12v version or not. Price difference is minimal and the normal 16v version is good if you plan on daily beating it. And $750 shipped is a good deal but 700 would be better. And on top of it it's almost impossible to find a 12v version since there where probably less then 100 ever made and the 12v version is mostly competition only. Loudman is used to selling his stuff cheap as hell to people usually less then other people sell their stuff for. lol

In other words if it's in good shape it's a good deal. And if you're looking for 6000w the 7kd will give you about 5000w at 1ohms on 12.6v If your budget is 900 then step it up a bit to get that rd7500.1 for $1000. Now that's a hell of a deal and you'll see 6000w.
