Which is still only ~50 square inches of port... I was gonna go for ~120 with my slot port, do the flares really reduce that much port noise/turbulence that I can cut the port area in half?

I get the 4" tube...

But

The radius of a 6" circle would be 3"; with that being said

3 * 3= 9 * 3.14= 28.26

So explain what I am doing wrong.

Well know shniznit they dont cost you nothing...arent you on the same **** team....what matters is what It costs MEEEE or if you want to get 2 of them for NOTHING, and sell them for half of nothing, hit me up. make a few bucks.

Port size is dependant on enclosure and driver being used. genreally you want to keep velocity no higher than 60-65ft/sec with amp's maximum RMS power.

2 6" Aeroports are sufficent for an Avalanche 18 up to 9cuft or so (assumeing you are running 800-1000w)

Rule of thumb is 12sqin per cuft w/o flares and 6-8 sqin w/ flares. this is ONLY A RULE OF THUMB like the 9x1 rule.

would i use 2 6" ports on an XXX 18 or SX 18? maybe, daily, deff not if its going to be used for SPL, i would add at least one more.

Allright well I am looking for a fairly SPL oriented set up with a single 18" TC 4hp sub (the one Stupify is selling). They say it likes small boxes, so I was gonna go ~7 cubes gross with somewhere around 3000w.
