The next question I guess is MLI65's or SSMB6?

they are going in the rear doors of my pickup. The front are Kicker 6.2 comps and I will be using a Storm 800.4 amp (approx 100rmsx4) I am an older guy not looking for banging base, just nice sound. Anything else in the price range?

aernt you using tweeters in the back? If not the MLI65 play up to 3khz, that would be a good choice, I just love my mach 5 stuff

thanks for the info on Mach5 I am going to look into it further! I think the kickers would be a good door speaker, just going to check what people think of the Mach installed in doors.

I have the kicker SSMB6 in the rears and they sound great and worked great. I don't have the MLI-65 but I have a mach5 sub so I can vouch for marks great products.

cant go wrong with the mli 6.5's. your love them as long as you do some deadening to the door. even without, they rock. but i would recommend deadening for sure to get the most out of them. mine have gone around from car to home to a sub kick (for recording) and back to my home stereo lol

but for the price, there's no way you can beat the price vs value with these.

thanks for the advice on the mli6.5 speakers, I will probably go that route, wondering about the Phoenix Gold TI6, gonna check that one out, but looks like some MLI6.5 is in my future!
