WTB: 6.5 Mid to match the blaupunkt vc100 tweeters

I hear these tweeters are very similar to the Cal 25's.

What do you have that you think will match them? Will be running in a 2 way active setup off the 9887, Powered by a memphis big belle.

im using that entire component set...the 660 i think it is....and im quite impressed....too bad i didnt make it to MD you could have heard them

for the huge price of like $80 brand new id say the VC660 mid....give it a try..

Well right now I am running the cal 20 tweeters, with the CDT Es-600 Mid.

I was going to buy some germs, but I heard the vc100 tweeter was very similar to the cal 25, and I kinda figured I would get somethin more high end than the CDT's.

Yeah which Is why im gonna try out the vc100's....I just need a good midrange to match it. I wonder what other people have chosen.

I really do like my CDT Es-600. I acctually just might keep it.

what about like a dayton 7"...i was suggested them many a time...or a peerless 7"

Dayton 7" is no good for that, it won't play high enough without a lot of breakup, stick with the cdt.

I have some vifa 7" mids that can play pretty high easily. Sound very crisp clear, have ok power on the low end but I would definitely have sub with them. Cheap too they are oem basically a knock off of the expensive ones with a plastic basket. Pm me if you are interested and I can get you some more information.
