WTB: 6.5 inch mids

Freakin' PG RSD mid blew on me today. It's not due to power but rather an amp that shorted out since my other side still works. So I'm in need of a mid if you got an extra RSD mid laying around, or a pair good mids not to exceed the amount of this set shipped. PM me if you got anything.

are you sure the mid is blown? try it on the other channel or a different amp. i beat the shit out of my rsd's and don't see it being easy to blow one honestly.

I think it's blown. When I hooked up an old 30x2 Alpine (temp amp), the tweeter still work on that side. The other side works fine as it did. The amp I was going to hook up (MTX TE604) short circuited somehow and went into protect mode, shorting out the mid, or maybe just the crossover? Either way, I'll have to open up the door and look at it but for now, since the tweet still works, I'm assuming the mid went to a better place.

hook the mid you think is blown (w/o the crossover) up to an amp that you know works perfectly fine. if it's a crossover that went bad or something i have a set of RSD crossovers i'm not using. let me know. send me a pm if you find out it's a crossover.

Yep, mid is blown. Shows nothing on the DMM and the mid-output on the crossover still has power. Need mids still.

u need to find why the amp shorted...maybe the speaker cable is bad, find that so it doesnt happen again

Speaker cable is fine. They crossed at the amp terminals because the wires weren't tight.

i have a set of 6.5 mbquart from the rvf 216 set that i would do cheap

and you can have tweets and x-over for free

1 x over broke but could be fixed by anyone whith basic solder skills
