kicker 750.1 would be great if she could swing that. You can get an eclipse xa1000 off ebay that will do 480 watts @ 2 ohms for around 100 brand new. I had one on my boston g5 and it was a solid little amp.

liez.....battery to frame/chassis, alt case to frame/chassis, and alt + to battery +.....you need to have a good run from alt to batt anyway

edit: alt + to batt would be just like the usual run from batt to amp

I can upgrade the grounds easily, but it won't be cheap getting wire from front to back (alternator to battery) and no its not the same, because her battery is about 4 feet away from where the amps going to be placed. And the wires are already ran.

how is alt to batt in that car different than batt to amp in any other car....explain!?

alt is in the front of the car, batt is in the rear.. that's a good 15 feet in her car.

batt to amp is only like 3-4 feet away.

jeebus you are hard headed......the alt to amp run in a typical car is that long....how is 15" from alt to amp in some other car different than 15" from alt to batt in your car:furious:

For the 100th time, the battery is in the TRUNK and the ALTERNATOR is under the HOOD. I didn't make the ****ing car, Germany did.

I don't want to do work if I don't have to. No need to spend extra $ if I don't need to. This is a budget setup, and her car already has stock 4ga wiring. Should be more than enough for 500-750 watts.
