Im looking for 4 awesome 8's I can throw 3000wrms at. I am looking for the DD2508's or the new SA-8 V2's. I know the SA-8 V-2's haven't came out yet, but if anyone has done the pre order on them and has 4 on hand, I am interested.

The pre order for 4+ SA-8 V2's subs was $125 with free shipping. So the total was $500 for 4 of these bad boys. I missed the pre-order sale, but now I have the money.

I am also interested in 4 DD2508's. I don't really care about what cone option it has.

These will be going in a ported box. Im hoping to get 3 cu ft net out of my box.

So I'm looking to spend in the $500 range. Obviously new versus old would be taken into account.

sa8v2's are not out yet preorder or not, dd 2508's just came out and wont be had for that price.
look into sa8 v1's or 1508s
The V2's are suppose to be MUCH better than the V1's. They will take on more power and will have much better low end extension, which is what I am after. I am wanting to tune to 30hz and with a better low bottom end, that is what is luring me into the V2's.

Im not looking to drop down to the V1's nor am I looking to the 1508's. I have a 3000wrms amp and I want to use it to its full potential. Its taking me a long time to do this build and I am taking my time, so for me to skimp out and not get the subs I want and not using the 3000 watts on tap would just be a waste of my time I have put into this build.

These will compete with sa8 v1s or 1508s. I dont see you finding 4 of the v2s on here or any 2508s unless you order from a rep.
But this is an option that will work great CVL8-500-4 - Cadence Sound Store

DD 1508 clone. There lil monsters, 4 would prob take 2500wrms no sweat
Well I know SA has pushed back the date a few times on the release dates and I know a few people got tired of waiting and they ended up going with other subs because they couldnt wait any longer, so I was hoping that someone would be on the board that fit into this category.

I didnt know the 2508's were all that new.

I have a guy local who deals directly with DD and also deals with SA and says he can get me 4 of the V2's when Im ready and Im ready now.... So he said he can get them in for me. - Im just unsure how he would be able to get these V2's when the pre order sale is already over with.

He got me intersted in the 2508's till I found out that they would be a grand, twice as much as the V2's... I can't afford a grand for four 8" subs. Thats crazy expensive for 8" speakers. So I will have to look for some used 2508's it looks like. I know people probably dont want to get rid of them, but people are always changing their systems, so I figured I'd take a shot in the dark.

But what are ya'll opinions on the Skar VVX-8?

Just in case you didn't know DC just released their new M2 line including a Level 2 8" that's rated for 600w and is capable of taking upwards of 800-1000w of clean power. They use similar cooling that Sundown uses on their 8's they have sick excursion and slam on the lows. They are probably in the same price range as an SA-8 though DC pricing varies from person to person.

DC Audio - Level 2

Comparing: SA-8 145.5 , DD1508 146.4, DC Level 2 145.1

There have been no comparisons for the SA-8v2/DD2508 or Level 2 M2 but I'm guessing they are close.

So I guess the choice is up to you, DC will probably be the cheapest while the DD being most expensive and the SA being right in the middle.

Eh... before you tell people they fail maybe you should check yourself. They aren't listed but are available Matrix-Audio already has them listed with UK prices. They have a bigger coil cap and suspension upgrades as well as a 2" coil instead of a 2.5" like the rest of the Level 2's. Upwards of 22xmax & 600rms power handling I think these are in the range of what OP is looking for, I wouldn't hesitate to put 750w on one of these daily.

i was saying your link was a fail because it doesnt show the specific subwoofer that you mentioned. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

True but it shows the subwoofers in the same model category so he gets an idea of the T/S parameters... Obviously not the same since the 8" was designed a bit differently but overall a general idea.

Update. Looks like I need something else.

My tab for the top of my Kicker fuse holder broke a long time ago and I have been wrapping it up with black tap to keep the top on. Well I have ripped out the entire stereo in my truck, my center console, carpet, stock back wall sound deadening material, rear seats, etc.... Well during that time, my fuse blew.

So what I am looking for is a nice fuse holder that will accept 1/0 awg cable. I'd prefer ones that will accept the 1/0 awg cable directly instead of me having to crimp connectors at the end. Also looking for a few extra 300a fuses.

I dont care about display meters that show you amperage, wattage, or voltage.
