Want something great, and something reliable....really would do a Memphis 4kw but the thing is a surfboard and I'd love an amp under 28" ish long.

a 40.1 would be great....and extra power is always great. Budget is perferribly $5-600 but can go up if really needed.

DD M3 you can't get much more of a reliable amp than it...drop the voltage in the 10v zone and you'll see magic smoke with the Memphis and its very easy to do

they'll do close to 3k at 1ohm...and close to 4k at .....half....i did better numbers with the M3 at half than a MA HK 4000D at 2ohm.....I used a single 12v batcap 8400 in the test...so both amps had plenty of current...
