WTB 2x 6.5" Subs (or maybe an 8")

The stereo in my Dakota sounds like chit, and it's driving me nuts. My build is months away, and I can't stand this stock crap any longer. I'm going to throw a little something together for the moment, and this is what I have in mind.

Head Unit: Clarion VRX585USB flip-out DVD player (have)

Front Stage: Kenwood KFC-P680C 6x8" Plates (have)

Rear Fill: Infinity Reference 6022i 6.5" coaxials (have)

Sub Stage: A pair of 6.5" subs or possibly an 8" from someone on caraudio.com

4 Channel: Profile AP-740 (have)

Mono: Profile HA700M (have)

Shoot me a PM if you have a pair of decent 6.5" subs or maybe even an 8" (250 - 400 watts rms @ 2 ohms would be perfect). This little setup is only temporary, so I'm not looking for anything special. I'd like to keep this around the $100 mark if possible.

Sorry, can't use either of those. I only have 350-ish watts @ 2 ohms, so your TC 1000 simply won't work here. It's a nice little sub, but I'd want to overpower it and don't have the right amp lying around.

Hmm, I'll think about it. Like I said, it'll have to wait until next weekend regardless. If you still have a pair by then, I may just take them off your hands.

I was really looking for a pair of 6.5" subs, but I honestly don't know how much better actual "subs" would be at that size. I have no experience with subs that small...

Do you think I would get decent results if I threw out the 6.5" Infinity coaxials and the mono amp in favor of your DD mids?

I'm just clueless about an install this small. Do you think it's even worth bothering with?

Hey the dd mids will give more punch over your infinities but you will lose some of your hugh end..you would need to add tweets to make up for it...

I have a pair of eD eu-700s mine are actually dual 4, but you shouldn't need 350rms to make them sing anyway. I have them currently in a bandpass in my truck, but I'm looking at building a box for my 8w7 anyway, so if I get rid of them, I'm forced to stop being lazy and build the box already lol. had the w7 sitting on my poarch in the HO box for like 2 weeks now LOL. anyway, I'm running the eu-700s on a blau THA275 which I think is rated 200rms not too sure. and jam a little bit //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif had them in my wife's jetta on an RF 201s and it was doing 130s new TL think like a 137 or something forget it's been a while. it was just playing around on music.

I'll sell the pair of eu-700s for like $75 shipped and throw in the 7kv2 for $100 shipped I suppose. the 7kv2 actually is better and costs more. but if u buy all 3 I'll cut u a better deal. this is a firm price. if ur not interested in them at that price no dice. it's gonna cost me $10 to ship each one in a priority mail flat rate box anyway. lmk if you're interested, thanks,
