WTB: $220 budget, need some thump

Just sold my W1's today, wasn't fully satisfied with them.

Looking for atleast the SQ they offer, but more thump.

Amp puts out 200 x 2 @ 4-ohms, 400 x 2 @ 2-ohms, and 800 x 1 @ 4-ohms bridged.

Any suggestions/links, would be GREATLY appreciated.

Umm....yes....they have pretty **** good sq for the price. I've heard plenty other brands/subs in the same price range,(L7s, L5s, Memphis's, CVRs, Pioneers, W3s, etc. etc.) and type rs were definitely the best sounding I've heard, also in most of those applications the subs were sealed, and my Rs still sounded better ported. and correct me if i'm wrong but I'm the one that owns some so i think i'd know. I would put money down that they would sound just as good if not better than his W1s.

They are definitely not straight spl/sound like *** subs if thats what you are implying.

IF they're sealed, yeah.

You should get like an 8 or 10in and seal it. You should be happy.

My only concerns with the Type-Rs would be if my amp is strong enough to push them. They are 500 RMS a piece, most my amp can push is 400 x 2 @ 2-ohms.

Some of you suggested a single sub set up, but wouldn't I actually LOSE bass since I would be moving less air?

your amp also does 800x1@4 ohms, get a single 12 or 15 that can show your amp 4 ohms. 1 sub with all 800 will be as loud as 2 subs shareing 800
