#1-Mine will be half that price

#2-It is much easier to wire subs together than to seperate amps

#3-It is less money/wire/room to wire subs off one amp

#4-You will get more power this way

I've got an Alpine MRD-M1005... puts out just under 1100w@2 ohms. Are your subs dual 2 or dual 4 ohm? I used another one of these amps to run 2 Type R 10s and they wanged. im mistaken, my peak is 1500 and my RMS is 500. i have dual 2 ohm.

Peak should be 1500w each iirc. I ran the exact same subs x2 on one of these amps and they did just fine. If you're running dual 2, you'll run them in series parallel for a 2 ohm load. Each VC should see ~260w max, or 520 per sub. Which is more than fine.
