WTB: 2 12's that can handle 3k watts total

I am looking for 2 12's that will work good in 5cu feet ported or under with a single 8" aeroport tuned to 33hz. Currently have only one zx1500 looking to pick up another one of those. So need something that will wire to 2ohms per sub.

Post what you have and prices. Need to be able to handle 1500-1800rms daily.

not really looking for subs far as budget since I dont have a budget atm. Would like to stay around 600 if possible. if not I will spend up to around 400-450 per sub so 800-900 at the most

Cheaper the better. Anything will sound better and cleaner than the l7's I am sure.

Which setup will be louder 2 12's l7's on 1500rms ported 5.2 tuned to 33hz 8" aeroport or

2 12's round on 3k watts ported tuned to 33hz around 5cu ft with one 8" aeroport

As far as output - it depends on the box and the way it's built man, we can't tell you. The L7's are pretty decent woofers, but you're also upgrading power.

Maybe the copper coils...There are people throwing gobs more power than 1500 rms to the Aluminums. They'll be fine.

how much louder will 2 12's round 226" cone area on 3k watts ported tuned to 33hz 8" aero be compared to

2 12's l7's 288" cone area on 1500rms ported tuned to 33hz 8" aeroport???

Thats my main question I will have to spend 300-400 on HO alt and another 400 dollar amp plus around 100-300 dollars more on woofers than l7's

so looking to have to spend anywhere from 700-1k dollars extra and just not sure if it is worth it or not???

And the HO is a good idea, but not required. You would probably be able to get away with a few batteries, as much as I hate to say it.

You're doubling the cone area. Theoretically(if it were the same enclosure, same woofers) that should yield near a 3db gain.

BUT, diff enclosure and you're losing a little bit of cone area.

It *probably* wont be a noticeable difference in output, in my opinion. At least not to your ears.

currently have a zx1500 on 2 12's l7's sold them though. looking to pick up another set though. So i was gonna pick up another zx1500 if i grab 2 12's that will handle more power that are round since no square subs will handle a zx1500 a piece in 12" version.

I only have room for one battery stingerr spv70 in the back i have it now, with a 130 stock alt upfront, and a gold duralast upfront all 1/0 big 3 dedicated ground to the back as well. I might be able to fit 2 batcap 800's in the back behind the back seats in the back storage panel. would rather get a HO alt.

Just not sure if the increase will be worth the extra 1k bucks

What car do you have? You might be able to find a used h/o alt on one of the forums. A pair of round 12s on 3000w should most definitely be louder than 2-l7s on 1500w.

Try not to pay a lot of attention to that. They can handle your power.

solo x can handle it
