i have an old school 18" 6 spoke basket off an 04' RE XXX.

needs cleaning though as time has it's wear on it.

hmm...i like the 6 spoke..anyway u could clean it up a bit? pressure washer maybe?

and does the recone HAVE to come from the same company who made the basket? like will a BTL recone fit on this basket?

i could pressure wash it but what it needs is a little sanding/scraping to remove the glue that is around the area of where the gasket covers. as someone put like a rubbery glue all around it(purchased the sub from here used and only needed the motor). a dremel would take quick care of it. strong basket though. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

not sure. you would have to contact the recone company. i have never used nor reconed an 18" sub so i'm not sure. i'm sure someone here could tell you.
