WTB 15" 1500rms+ daily

I've had a change of heart.. can't settle for a single 12" so I'm going back to my single 15" setup.

I'm in the market for an SQL sub (60%SQ-40%SPL)

get that mag in the classifieds, they can take more than 1500 if your careful

I was really tempted but didn't really want to push it. I know the XXXs will take 2500rms daily on the proper electrical system. .... of course theres always the option of an RE SX 15" for $210 bnib local .. don't sound the best.. more so (40%SQ-60%SPL) but for the price...

even the guys at SI recommend NOT giving a mag that much...i've talked with them alot about this exact subject

I'd run a Mag on 1000-1200rms tops imo .. which still crosses my mind but I don't think it would be loud enough..

you'd really be suprized on how loud a Mag can get on 1000 watts.......and yes, i ran the 15" XXX in my car too.

I actually sold both my RE SX 15"s and 35.1s.. traded my car and went all performance for my new ride.. now im getting back into the game but going the SQ route..

on the mag getting loud.. do you think there would not be much difference between an SI Mag on lets say 1200rms VS and RE XXX on 2000rms //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I'm coming from two RE SX 15"s running on 3600rms.. I'm not looking for that loud but don't want to downgrade too far .. and i was actually thinking a single 12" .. im crazy heh

most people say the SX is LOUDER than the XXX...just doesn't sound as good. So yeah the difference between the mag at 1200 and the XXX at 2000+ will be significant but you might not be happy with a single XXX after having loud *** SX's on 3600

I used to run a single RE SX 15" on an RE 35.1 .. so whatever the amp actually pushed out at 1ohm at 14volts.. it was plenty loud.. now if I can get the XXX on 2000rms to sound the same thats fine.. I'm fine will running more power to the XXX as well

personally...2000 is the limit i'd run on the xxx, so many put them on orion 2500's and cooked the coils. But the XXX is a flat out badass sub...you can't go wrong with it
