WOW medicine is expensive

Yea medicine is very expensive. My step dad spends like 80 bucks for one perscription. And he has to refill them like once every two weeks. But he also has a ton of other stuf too. He has a broken back.

you mean for 31 pills?

I know my grandpa was on some kind of IV not to long ago, its like 1800 bucks a day, or treatment!!!...that's f0king insane.

sorry to hear about that though. and yes...thank God for health insurance...id be broke as hell right now with out it...mine is up to like almost 600/month.

as some might know my aunt has brain cancer and she starts chemotherapy and radiation 2marrow. The price for 31 once a day chemotherapy pills is $8,500, now thats redicioulous. Thank god for health insurance
im on a 2 year chemo treatment plan and my doc said after it was all said and done it would be close to 1 million withouth health insurance. i have a bottle of anti nausea pills called zofran that costs 16 grand for a bottle of like 200. i remember you starting a thread about your aunt a while back, glad to know that she made it out of surgery ok.

Ya I think the drug companies charge whatever they think they can get out of people/insurance companies for their drugs. Of course a lot of money is spent in development of them.

Springy I never knew you had cancer. Good luck man, radiation is a mofo.

I didnt know how common cancer was but at my dads 4th of July party like 6 of the 40 people who was there had fought cancer and won. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

the bad thing about insurance companies covering medicine costs is that some insurance companies will only cover generic models and if itsd a new treatment there wont be a generic version out yet

My wife might have to have a historectemy(sp?) because she is at high risk of uteral cancer. they just removed 2 pollops a few weeks ago //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
