[QUOTE="T3mpest, post: 915828, member: 560148"] My friend who doesn't know a heck of a lot about audio picked up 2 10" Lightning Audio woofers from walmart today. We spent the 10 minutes required to pack them into the prefab box and all I can say is wow! They weren't at all musical (no real dynamic response) and the SPL was quite lacking. I went to my moms stock car and her 6x9 stock backs honestly sounded as good or better with only a moderate volume difference. Despite the large difference in power and cone area. I say moderate because he was running the ****ing things into a very high THD, they sounded like ***, but I turned it down just to check the "useable" volume. They were being powered by a Pioneer amp, not sure exact model, but it said "MAX POWER 300 watts, so I'd say closer to 125 rms. Just thought I'd post my first experience with super cheap stuff.
