I'm aiming for a nice SQL setup and have decided to go with 12(s) and no matter what sub I get, I'll be going sealed. I was hoping someone could give me their personal opinions and suggestions on what they'd rather have.. I'll be giving the sub(s) about 800 watts rms. I was digging through some old threads and saw that Squeak was going to be comparing the IDMAX vs the RL-P, so if squeek could chime in on that.. that'd be muy bien.
Right now I'm kind of leaning towards the two 12" ID12 V3's, since thats double the cone area, and I'd probably get more "boom per watt" because of that. I'd say that Im going for about 60% SQ 40% SPL
So tell me what you'd pick out of these subs.. or else suggest something entirely different, just as long as it's a 12" under $300 and sounds good sealed.
- two 12" Image Dynamics ID12 V3's
OR
- one 12" Image Dynamics 12" IDMAX V3
OR
- one 12" SoundSplinter RL-P
OR
- Suggest your own 12" SQL Sub(s) that are under the $300 price range, either $300 for a single 12, or $300 for a pair
