It was more Coleman Young. He alienated all the white business owners, enough so that Bill Davidson moved the Pistons out of Detroit. Also if you look between 1950 when Detroit was at its biggest and the 4th largest city, and 1960, the black population had increased by over 100% and in the same time, the homicide rate went up 200%, and the armed robbery by over 500%. That led to the 1967 riots in which thousands of building were burned, and the city lost nearly 1 million people. If you look at the suburbs, Oakland county is the richest county outside of the states of Florida and California, so apparently the auto industry hasn't effected them. Also Troy and Sterling Heights (white suburbs) were ranked as the 5th and 16th safest cities in America respectively. Perhaps you should come here and visit the suburbs and get a better understanding. All the crime and trash is contained inside the city of Detroit. The suburbs are still pretty nice.

I have been there, its not too bad, most of my client base for work is in Auburn Hills, and most of Oakland County. It just has a lot more shitty parts than any other top ten metro area. Not to mention many of the richest in that area do work for the Automakers, they were just that last few with jobs.

All of Detroit is a shitty area because 83% of the population is black. Not to mention corrupt mayors like Coleman Young and now Kwami Kilpatrick. I agree there are probably more abandoned buildings in the city of Detroit then any other city, but nobody cares about Detroit and the negros anymore. All we care about is the white suburbs.

Why should a person's previous ****** partner's race matter? I can understand the risk of STDs, but that is universal, not racial.

it doesnt, my girl is cool, cute and educated. She did sleep with a black guy in th past but only one of about of 5 people. I would rather have that than a girl that only been with white guys, but like 30 of them

I don't understand how the color of one's skin would make a difference of a possible ****** experience. As long as the *** is safe, that is the most important issue. Yes, I'm Black.
