Hey all,

I know the Pioneer AVH's need a Relay for the parking brake bypass to work (as it cant see ground when it comes on or it will fail to work)

I am just wondering, would this relay I have found be fit for purpose?

maplin co uk sealed-reed-relays-2605

Reed Relay 12V SPST

Also, I have heard it is wise to put a diode in on the amp power on wire. Would any do? For example:

maplin co uk 0.5w-zener-diodes-19089

Thanks to any one that can help //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I'd recommend getting a Microbypass instead. Much easier to fit behind the HU when all is said and done. Mine has worked great since October.

Are these "Microbypass" things just smaller Relays? Like the reed relays i found? Would a SPDT Reed Relay do the trick, is there any reason not to use one.

if not what is the microbypass, does any one have schematics for it?

thanks for the replies so far!
