would most people here

yeah but the Q is the more SQ oriented driver in their line of subs....guess the 18" Q is made to play low...play clear (as opposed to "muddy") and play loud...fully loaded BTL just plain plays f'in loud

^^^ eh....i started with two 10's sealed, then 2 twelves sealed, then 1 15 ported, and now im moving onto 1 18 ported, prolly after that like 4 15's who knows...I CANT STOP ITS AN ADDICTION
What goes up must come down. I was up to a wall of 4 15's, now I am down to a single 10 on 400w. Hell, my frontstage has just about as many watts as my substage. My ears thank me.

yeah i know...thats how it will end up...ill go from an 18" ported taking up my whole trunk to probably..withing a year or two 1 10...sealed..or something completely different

like how badly...im only getting 19 MPG as is right now in my jeep...what could i expect after adding a 18" sub and a 10 cube box?
There won't be a noticeable difference in gas mileage your Jeep. Any difference in gas mileage could easily be made up with slight changes to your driving style.

To me the bigger the woofer is the more it drops the high end of the woofer. I'm not sure why this is but I'm convinced it's true. That said, no. I wouldn't run an 18. I question why I'm putting great effort into installing a 15 atm.
