Worth it or not?

Well, im gettin ready to sell my car, and i need some opinions on whether it would be worth removing my current setup (see sig), or just try to sell it with everything installed. I know that if i leave it installed, a lot of the "older people" that might be interseted in my car, may look elsewhere because they think teenagers are hoodlums. It would also make the price of the car jump up ~$1000, which in turn will make it harder to sell. If i take everything out, im going to sell it all individually, except the Alpine amp, and possible the CDT coaxials. What do yall think? Worth it or not?

PS- not trying to make this a "for sale" thread, but if ya see something u want, shoot me a pm and we might be able to work something out.

All imput is greatly appreciated.

depends where you live. Do you live in a big place where many people will see your car and know what its all about? If you live in a real small place and have a smaller chance of selling the car then take the system out... if you live in a larger city, just be patient until the right person sees your car and wants it with the system in it.

Use it as a bargaining tool.

If a prospective buyer comes to have a look-see but seems reticent because of all the audio gear then tell them, "Well, if you don't want to audio equipment I can remove it and take $XXX.xx off of the asking price."

Always remember to start the haggling process (when you're the seller rather than the buyer) somewhere above what you'd be willing to sell the vehicle for. Ergo ~ if you'll accept no less than $9,000 for the car then ask $10 or $11k (arbitrary numbers - I have no clue what you drive or what it's worth) for it. Leave that cushion to be able to come down to a more reasonable price so that your buyer can impress themselves with their newfound bargaining abilities. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

good luck selling that jeep. i just sold my 95 grand cherokee and it was a ***** to get rid of with these high gas prices. i ended up letting it go for $1500. anyways, where i live atleast, if people see a car with all kinds of audio equipment and a younger owner, they think you didn't take care of it.

thanks for the suggestions. Im asking $10500 with the system and $9500 without, want go any lower than $9000. My family has had some luck when it comes to selling stuff (1990 4runner sold in 6 hrs with 222500 miles on it, and a set of tires and wheels sold in 3 hrs). I have already had a couple people intereated in it, so we'll see. I can i can just tell them that if they dont want it, or just dont want certain stuff, i can rip it out and sell it on ebay or something.
