these type f things happen every summer... nothing new really, altho I got one better:
an assistant principal left her kid in her mecedes suv all day while she was in the school working, apparently she "forgot" she had her kid in the car... even tho she went back to the suv about 4-5 times withing a half an hour to get boxes of donuts... the child died.. and the mother isn't facing any charges, WTF?

Just a few months ago in 100+ degree heat, there was a local couple that left their new born in a car with the windows up, poor child couldn't do anything to escape it, and was pronounced at the scene. People are just ****in' morons. Hell, I went to the post office just right across the street from my house, just about 700 feet away from my house, and I forgot to buckle my daughters car seat in, and I about started crying... I can't believe how people treat their children. It's sickening.

You need a license to do most things in this country, and the world, but we can reproduce at will.

Maybe a change is needed.

happened here in July. She left for work and forgot to drop kid off at daycare. And she works at the hospital.

Macon Police have charged the mother of a 5 1/2-month-old baby with murder.
According to Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones, Holly Hammonds, the mother of Taryn Hammonds, found the infant dead in her car shortly after 6 p.m. Thursday night in the parking lot of The Coliseum Medical Center.

Hammonds works at the Coliseum Medical Center and Jones says the baby was apparently left in the car pretty much the whole day.

Melanie Hofmann with the Macon Police Department says that the 20-year-old mother received a phone call from a friend who was supposed to pick up her daughter, Taryn, from daycare.

Hofmann says that's when Hammonds checked her car and saw the child.

Hofmann says Holly Hammonds is charged with murder and cruelty to children in the first degree.

Jones says an autopsy will be performed Friday, but his initial analysis is that 5 1/2-month-old Taryn died by suffocation due to the heat.

Hofmann says Hammonds will have her first appearance in court Friday afternoon.

The Macon Police Department is still investigating the death.
