Wood Turning

Anyone else do anything else with their wood besides ******** and build boxes? My dad's had a lathe for a while and recently started making pens and pencils on it. I decided to try my hand at it and this is what I've made so far. I find it quite addicting for some reason.

The orange pen/pencil kit is dyed boxelder burl and the other is zebra wood.

That's actually pretty cool //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Apparently, people make these things for about $5-20 pending the wood and pen style, then turn around and sell them for $70+. If you're good at it, it takes 1 hour tops, not counting the time it takes the glue to dry.

Actual woodworking is some cool sht. One day I hope to have enough free time to take up the hobby. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
