As you may know, I'm bored as fvck on my iMac because there's nothing to do. I was visiting some sites that I haven't visited in a while, Tom's had a story (from another site) about environmentally-friendly cardboard speakers.

The degree of retardation shown on this site just ... blows my mind. I'm sure I don't need to explain why it's retarded to most of the members of this site, but for the 07ers and future 08ers, I'll do it just for the hell of it ...

1) The enclosure is not sealed at all ...

2) The enclosure is made of cardboard ...

3) Particle board is made of recycled wood chips and saw dust ...

4) Using no enclosure at all would be more environmentally-friendly ... and just as useless ...

5) "Love it and the fact that they are inviromnatly friendly" ... "Love them because they are better for the Earth." ... 56% of voters "Love it" ...

Ehhh I won't say women are retarded.But if I recall correctly I had found some good studies that showed IQ's of different males and females and different races. it varied a little depending on race. But on average a white males IQ is around 108 and a white females IQ is 96 and this only on average. But to give you an idea for reference. 12 points is a weighted ratio. 12 points actually can be a good amount.

Also I would guess (although I totally understand the need to help the planet) speaker boxes probably honestly only use less than 1/1000th of a percent of all lumber. So honestly to take such a loss on SQ and output to make a difference that would be impossible to see.
