Wireing kit

I'm not upgradeing so i only need the minimum but not less than whats required

I have a BMW 325ic which i believe has a ***** 60amp alt.

I'll be running a RF 15inch 2ohm DVC Power Series

with a Directed audio 1500d off of a new battery (nothing special just new)

The battery says 760 amps and 610 cold cranking amps. (kirkland series)

Basicly i need a wireing kit and i want as cheap as i should go. If anything i will be downgradeing in the futuer

I thought it might be somewhat overkill so i also tracked down a 4 gauge kit

If necessary i could go down to an 8 gauge kit but i was hopeing to use the extra wire for the big 3. Would it be ok to use 4 or 8 gauge for the big 3?

those power acoustik kits are nice kits for the price... they wont leave you enough left over for the big 3 though.

also found a good 8 guage kit

As for the big 3 about how much wire would i need and what size? I'm sure i could pick up an 8-12 foot piece for pretty cheap of whatever size.

stick with the 2 guage... with 1500 watts RMS I wouldnt go below 4 guage.

Only problem is your alternator, theres no way it will supply enough current for the system at full output. To get the most out of it, maximize the size of the wire and do the big 3. Do the big 3 in 1/0 guage if you can, but anything less will still be an improvement from stock.

If you turn down the gains down to within the subwoofer's specs though, you should be just fine with 2 guage wiring and a stock 60 amp alt I would think

where in Olympia are you, there are a couple of cheap welding supply shops in Tacoma. They will tell you a price then just tell them you thouht it was cheaper. They will ask you where di you hear that and then just tell them you got quoted on the phone. I know it's a drive but I drive there from Seattle

Your alt should be 90 to 120 amps man

go here, check the year, go to your car, go to Electrical, and check what Stock OEM alts they sell. it will give you an idea anyways

ohh ok. Thx. I did my search on ebay and came up with a few 60 and 90 amp alts so i figured the 90 was an upgrade.
