is this program accurate???
I just downloaded it and have been messing with it. Pretty cool program but not fully aware of any quirks it may have.
Fun facts:
It shows that my radio shack subs, with a box chamber of less than 300L, whether sealed or ported, will have practically the same response curve. It only starts to show a difference when the box volume reaches the subs VAS, which is about 530L.
I put in the parameters for some real car audio subs like lanzar, sundown, etc, and the differences were night and day. You can get away with much smaller boxes than with the crappy radio shacks.
Sealed boxes generally **** for flat response. Most subs reach -3db at 50hz, whereas ported boxes with good subs can reach -3db at around 30-35hz.
I don't know why I thought sealed boxes were better than ported.........
