Window Tint: Will I Get Much Trouble

I was going to get all my windows on my 93 Tercel tinted 5%. Kansas law says 30% is legal but do you think its worth it? My dad says to go legal on the front sides, cause you can go as dark as you want on the rest of them. I dont think that it looks good having darker on the back and light on the front. What do you guys think?

I have always had all 5% tint on my vehicles for the past 8 years and havent had any trouble. Of course I live in southern Oklahoma and the law dosent seem to care so much about it. I know here 20% is as dark as you are supposed to get on the front and still be legal. I see alot of people with the 5% all the way around, if I was you I would just check with some people in or around law enforcement to see if the make any attempt to keep you from haveing the limmo tent on the front. But the worse thing they can do if you decide to get it is maybe give you a ticket and give you 30 days to have it removed but I have never seen it done.

I've been running darker than legal limit on 3 of my cars...never been bothered.

just go to the doctor and say when u drive ur eyes bother u from the sun, and that you have almost gotten in an accident because of it, then they will write u a note saying that u can have ur windows as dark as u want!

I would go with the legal limit on the front, honestly it still looks pretty good. I have 5% on back 35% on fron and it still looks **** good. Ive had problems with the johnson county sherifs in the past, that about all the experience ive had with KS (even if it was with those Johnson county bastards //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif )

yeah dude dont worry about it, 30% is pretty dark and still looks nice, when i get it done i am gonna try the doc trick but imo you really cant tell the difference when you go full and 30 too much....go like 30 and 50 or something if u want it to look closer....or be a rebel and paint your windows black and cover it with electrical tape

That 30% Bull shit is not for me :thumbsdow , I have never had anything but 5% limmo on mine. I just dont like the sun to be beaten down through the window plus I hate people being able to see in my vehicles. Well I got 5% all the way around and I've drove by a couple of Kansas Troopers and Montgomery Sheriffs and they just look at it and keep driving so I guess I'm in the clear. I dont know if they can just stop you for tint but if they cant I dont get pulled over for anything anyways because I never speed or play my music loud with the windows down so I guess I dont have anything to worry about. In Ohio wher I live thye can be brutal about it ..one kid I know got his tint sliced...legal around here is 50..but if you dont go lower than 20 your in the clear...plus the backs can only be tinted more if you have a truck...**** NE Ohio

Yep...a friend of mine had mirror tint and had it ripped off......where in NE Ohio are you?

i JUST tinted my car to 5% all round EXCEPt the windscreen. I thought it was part of the DIY package, but when I calle dto enqure, they said the front is separate.

****, 5% is dark. Finally, my stuff can't be seen through the window. I gotta keep a close eye on my 15A baby...
