i have a sundown 1200d. if i do 4 12s sealed that are d-4 i can do it at .5 and 2 ohms.if i do it at .5 will it rise enough onecs the amp is on so that the amp will b over one ohm?. the subs are 300 rms, i just think at 2 ohms the sundown would put close to 700 or so cuz im gona b over 13.5 at that ohm load. i wana make sur the amp will not go in to protect at that ohm load. i know a sealed box will rise kinda high.

Yea it should definitely rise to be over 1ohm after imp. rise comes into play... Best person to ask would be to email Jacob and ask him.
i sure did i have to wait for him to get back to me, it will say .5 but when i turn the amp on it should go higher right. im thinking i should b good. with such a low rms set up well for a 4 12inch set i should b ok.

Sealed box rise is likely gonna be alot. Probably from .5 to lowest you can get it will be 1.5 ohms..... maybe 1 ohm if lucky. That's the way my sealed boxes have always been anyway.

Just check the amp, if it's getting really hot you may mess it up. But don't fear. SAE-1200D rebuilds here are like $90-$110.... no biggie for most. Only thing to fear is that if you fry an output and DC offset protect doesn't kick in (because protect circuits **** and are not perfect, no matter which amp...) you could send some rail voltage (high voltage from inside the amp) straight to your sub coils and burn them. Just be cautious, if your amp ever stops playing, and you cannot see your subs to see if they are poking out all the way or sucked in, turn it off right away and then check where you can acutally SEE what is going on so you don't smoke your coils if the amp fails.

Please re-read my post, and use your reading comprehension skills that they taught you in school. Unless they didn't teach it to you, then I will make it easy for you, yes .5 should work with the rise associated with a sealed box, just don't overheat your amp, and if it stops working turn it off right away, check everything, where you can SEE the subs and see what they are doing so you don't burn them up if the amp fails.
