It seems a little large for a single 8'', but I'm sure it will work fine. Just be careful with the power though....the larger enclosure will increase the efficiency of the woofer, so not as much power is needed.

I think you'd be better off with .75ft^3 at 35hz.

Depending on the install, they can sound pretty decent tuned lower. I had two 1008a's tuned to 32hz, and they got relatively low. Sounded really good, and got surprisingly loud.

considering hes asking about his enclosure, which is great, I would recomend DDs specs to start and work from there. If he hates it he then has a solid foundation to work on.
