Will this Affect how Insurance Companies Value my Car?

I got out all of my audio wires, bass boost knob, and RC wires from my car by taking off some of the panels on the left side of the car. I also had to tear down one of the panels beneath the steering wheel (not on the wheel itself, but on the bottom panel below it) in order to get access to where the bass boost knob was located. Will the insurance companies not value my car as high because some of the panels were torn off? I think my dad is going to call them today and just tell them that the left side looked like the right side and try to explain things. What do you guys think? Anyone have experience with this?

I mean how much are you thinking your going to get?

if its really bad they are going to give you salvage title price

depends on the adjuster as ive said 400 times now

panels come off //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif no need to tear them off, they either snap, bolt, screw, velcro, something.... you didnt have to mess them all up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

you made it sound like you f'd them all up.....shoulda popped them back on when you finished removing the wires.

it actually doesn't depend on the adjuster (unless they aren't doing their job), as all companies use an exact valuation software (NADA, Red Book and ValuMate) or a guideline system for the state...all of these valuation processes take into account the same factors, each system rates the exterior/interior/mechanical on a 100% scale (fair/average/above average/dealer) and base it against the value...

the exterior and mechanical are the biggest areas as well as age, geography and mileage, as far as the interior they look for accessories, options, seat condition, smell and overall appearance...if they opened up the door and saw parts of the dash hanging down, they would probably knock a few points down, but if you just drop the panels and put them back up, there should be no evidence that they were taken off, as they are pretty much designed to do so and the adjuster wont even notice it...

they don't really climb into the car and start pulling on panels and measure gaps and such...

based on what you said, you dont have anything to worry about value wise...and even if it did, not very much $ in the whole scheme...
